You have not been able to find the details inside Tribhuvan University. The list of financial instability, intellectual deviation or educational anarchy within the university is long. We have a tendency to try to transfer the land of the university to our name in a hooligan style by occupying the land of the Tribhuvan University and occupying the land of the university so much that it reminds us of Pashupati Sharma’s song.
Loot could loot younger, loot could loot

Who has done so much?
Although there is no definite information about the movable and immovable property of Tribhuvan University, but all the universities under it have been looted from all sides. The Horticulture Center has been occupying 281 ropanis and 14 acres of land in Kirtipur, which has a red deed in the name of the university and is registered in the property. Instead, a modern building of the Department of Agriculture has been built on another’s land. The National Fruit Development Center, National Farmers Commission, National Potato Vegetable and Spice Development Center, National Tea and Coffee Development Center have been built on this land. Trivi has no record of any official agreement or financial transaction by any of these bodies.
By creating agitation and obstruction in Tribhuvan University time and again and influencing the Senate meeting of the university, the Tribhuvan University Professors’ Association is renting more than 50 ropanis of land and building on the same land. We have already communicated the details. The Nepal Professors’ Association, an umbrella organization of professors involved in the academic profession, is also renting a building built on about 50 ropanis of land and Tribhuvan land.
The University Employees’ Union has also taken about 20 ropanis of land in front of the Tiu Gate and rented it out at its convenience. The rent from the contract goes directly to the employees’ union account. Nepal Netrajyoti Sangh is using 10 ropanis of land of the university for free. The Lions Club has occupied 3 ropanis of land since April 11, 2010. None of these bodies have an agreement on Tribhuvan’s land tenure. Similarly, the government has given permission to build a republic pillar on 60 ropanis of land in the hands of Tribhuvan University. Even though 60 ropanis of land has been given for the pillar, it is difficult to build a pillar 10 feet high and leave it inside. The land adjacent to the pillar has been allotted to Patan Joint Campus.
According to the TRI administration, a medical super specialty center is being set up on 60 ropanis of land near this pillar of the university campus to provide specialized health services including study, teaching and training in nephrology (kidney related) and urology (urinary system) diseases and other complex diseases. Soil testing is currently underway.
The then Vice-Chancellor Tirtha Khaniya has given 25 ropanis of land in front of Kirtipur New Bazaar in 2073 BS for the Melamchi Drinking Water Project. Where Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited is constructing a concrete structure. This is the land that was paid for drinking water fee saying that the university has not been able to pay the arrears of Rs 60 million.
Trivi does not even have an account of the land and building leased by different campuses with different individuals and companies. As per the lease agreement of the building and land owned by Patan United Campus, Rs. 53 lakh 63 thousand and another company has to collect Rs. 18 lakh 48 thousand. Even this one-year rent has not been paid by the two companies due to Corona and the economic downturn.
Besides, Kathmandu Valley Drinking Water is using 24 ropanis of land in Sundarighat for free. The then Nepal Water Supply Corporation (NWSC) has taken the land for a few years on the condition of giving 1 tanker of water to Trivi free of cost every day in 2041 BS. At present, the contractor of Melamchi project is living on 30 ropanis of land in Sundarighat of Tribhuvan University.
The Ayurveda Research Center under the Ministry of Health has killed 30 ropanis of land of the university
Similarly, the Ayurveda Research Center under the Ministry of Health has killed 30 ropanis of land of the university.
Nepal Bank and Global IME Bank also have offices on Tribhuvan University land, but these banks deposit money in Tribhuvan University accounts as per the agreement. The university also owns 100 ropanis of land occupied by the Kirtipur bus park and garbage collection site, but the bus park does not pay the fee nor does the municipality pay the rent. There is also an office of Public Basketball, Football Ground, Nepal Manka Khal (Maoist affiliated organization) on the same land.
According to the records of the TRI administration, the National Sports Council has agreed to use 70 ropanis of land but it has occupied more than 100 ropanis. According to the decision number 1347 of the executive council of the university, the land with the cricket stadium, parafit and other structures built by massaging the old football ground of Kirtipur has been leased till 2083 BS with an annual rent of Rs. 900,000.
Similarly, the Nepal Police has now raided Kholtapatti Kirtipur near Sundarighat on a land of about five ropanis.Modern office buildings, barracks, toilets, roads and deep boring are being constructed for the purpose. Police have set up a temporary structure for the construction of a temporary unit of Police Circle Balkhu on a ropani of land at the University of Balkh.
The BP Koirala Memorial Science Museum has acquired 174 ropanis of land. The building, which was inaugurated in September 2071 BS, has not yet received a science museum. The university also owns 106 ropanis of land with Ayurveda campus and teaching hospital. The National Ayurveda Research and Training Center under the Ministry of Health has been set up in 30 ropanis. The Kathmandu Center of Research and Education KCRE has occupied the dormitory building for international students but has not paid the rent.
What is more interesting is that a religious center named Swami Satsang, which initially went to the university to ask for 4 acres of land, has been occupying 18 ropanis of land on the bank of the river Bagmati outside the main campus of the university since 2047 BS. This organization has built a huge lecture hall in an area of 13 ropanis but has not taken permission from the TRI administration and Kirtipur municipality. The organization, which initially owned 4 acres of land owned by the Tribhuvan University, tried to register the land in its own name, but the Tribhuvan administration had written a letter to vacate the land and demolish the structure.
During the CPN (Maoist) government in 2075 BS, UML MP Krishna Gopal Shrestha himself attended and demolished the north wall of the main gate of the university. Behind the building built for the Vice-Chancellor, Rector and Registrar of the University, a large motor road was built on Goreto land. MP Shrestha himself assured that he would manage the budget and install a concrete wall behind the Tribhuvan. At present, only a simple iron fence has been erected to block the land of Tribhuvan. Some locals have even demolished the same iron bar to destroy Trivi’s land.
About 200 ropanis of land has been eroded by Trivi digging the road.
According to the statistics, about 1,500 ropanis of land in Kirtipur, which is now owned by Tribhuvan University, has come under the control of various organizations. Even though Lalpurja Trivi owns 3,613 ropanis of land, Muskil has usurped 2,500 ropanis of land. Construction businessman Kajendra JV Construction, which has been contracted to build the Tribhuvan Road in a southern corner of the university, has been occupying more than 10 ropanis of land for the past 10 years without paying rent.
The world to grab the land of Tribhuvan
Initially, Tribhuvan University has been subjected to a series of scams involving land, then passing the same land in its own name. Apart from this, even the land mafia has tried to grab Trivi’s land. A case was filed in the Supreme Court five years ago. At a time when the country was just going through the transition of implementing a new constitution. Tulsiram Poudel and Kundan Giri of Naikap VDC-5 of Savik had reached the apex claiming that they were occupying 125 ropanis of land in their name. A joint bench of Supreme Court Justices Deepak Kumar Karki and Ananda Mohan Bhattarai ruled that the land was under Tribhuvan Tribune, saying it was an attempt to transfer controversial and fraudulent rights. This was linked to the negligence of Tribhuvan University.
Trivi did not know when Poudel and Giri were occupying the land in their name. After the case reached the court, it was confirmed that the land divided into 21 lots was given by the donor. The land mafia’s eye was seen when Trivi did not protect the land given by the donor. It was mentioned in the decision of the apex court that Trivi should be vigilant in protecting the land. In the full text of the Supreme Court’s decision, it is mentioned that 12 ropanis of land in the then Naikap VDC was given to Tribhuvan University by 12 people including Badakaji Pushparaj, Krishnapyari, Madhusudan Raj, Govindaraj, Rukmani, Kedar Raj and Ishwar Raj.
Is It is mentioned that the writ was rejected as the then government had cut off the data from the name of the person and kept it in the name of Tribhuvan University education and transferred the land to Rajguthi. Tulsiram Poudel, a resident of Sankhuwasabha Pathibhara and now living in Kathmandu, said that his right to disputed land has not been violated.
Similarly, the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Sciences, Agriculture Campus under the Dean’s Office, Rampur, Chitwan and the Institute of Forest Studies, Hetauda have been merged by the government to establish the University of Agriculture and Forest Sciences. Is going Despite the decision of the Council of Ministers in 2074 BS, the land has not been allotted yet and the case is pending in the court. There is a constant dispute between the two universities over land ownership.
Millions of rupees did not rise
The public administration campus of the university was earlier in Tripureshwor. The public administration campus has now reached Balkhu from Tripureshwor after getting the land to rent the land of Tribhuvan University, but the old building of the same public administration campus has been demolished and the business center built on 10 ropanis and 13 acres of land has been rented for 32 years. Trivi has not been able to raise rent as per the agreement with the business group since 2064 BS. According to the TRI administration, the agreement stipulates that the monthly rent should be paid within 15 days of the start of the month and if not paid on time, a late fee of 20 percent will be charged. It is mentioned in the 58th Annual Report of the Auditor General that Rs. After that, the TRI administration has yet to collect more than Rs 25 million from Savik’s World Trade Center, including this year’s rent.
Now the building has been taken over again by Bhatbhateni Supermarket Group.
Similarly, TRIV does not have the account of land and building leased by various campuses under agreements with different individuals and companies. As per the lease agreement of the building and land owned by Patan United Campus, Rs. 53 lakh 63 thousand and another company has to collect Rs. 18 lakh 48 thousand. Even this one-year rent has not been paid by the two companies due to Corona and the economic downturn. The rent of the building and land owned by the joint campus has reached close to Rs 10 million. Although Patan United Campus has been occupying 57 ropanis and 13 annas of land, there is no land ownership of 33 ropanis and 8 annas of land. The TRI administration, which has been ignoring the suggestion of obtaining spare parts for land consumption, has now decided to shift the Patan Joint Campus to Balkhu. Trivi does not know in whose name the 33 ropanis of land owned by Patan United Campus is registered.
Nepal Commerce Campus, Min Bhawan has leased 20 shops. Most of the shops have not paid regular rent since the Corona epidemic, and the outstanding rent has reached close to Rs 1.5 million. The Auditor General’s 58th Annual Report states that “no rent or rent has been raised, the property has not been fully owned, the ownership of the physical infrastructure has not been transferred, the ownership of the infrastructure is not clear, the records are not organized and there is no coordination among various agencies.” From which it is clear that the movable and immovable property of the entire university is being misappropriated.
The problem is the same with land and buildings outside the valley.
The rent of 80 bighas and 5 katthas of land in Ghaghar Parsa, Nanupatti and Duwarkot owned by Ramswarup Ramsagar Multipurpose Campus, Janakpur has not been raised for years. The land seems to have been given to various people for an annual rent of Rs 938,000. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. Meanwhile, it has been ten years since the agreement of 53 Vidha 18 Kaththa land of Ghaghar Parsa Mahendranagar was signed. The locals have neither renewed the agreement nor paid the rent. There have been many attempts to bring this land given to the locals in the name of individuals by signing an agreement to collect 23 to 40 kg of grain per capita. According to the Tribhuvan University Administration Division, the concerned campuses have not become accountable for the collection of accounts outside the Valley.
The University of Agriculture and Forest Sciences is operating on 294 varieties of 15 kattha 1 dhur land in Bharatpur Metropolitan City 15 owned by Tribhuvan University. From this land, the Government of Nepal decided to provide the Bharatpur Municipal Corporation for the construction of an international level cricket ground on 20 bigha 6 kattha. On the same basis, an agreement was signed between Tribhuvan University, Bharatpur Municipal Corporation and University of Agriculture and Forest Sciences on September 3, 2075 BS. Thus, Tribhuvan University, which is mired in land mafia, educational mafia and political vicious cycle, can neither save its own land nor raise millions of rupees in rent. Political turmoil and political turmoil are drowning the dignified university in an ocean of brokers and mafia. (From INS)
