Kathmandu. A teacher of Manthali Secondary School, identified as a model school in Ramechhap district, absconded after he was accused of sexually abusing a female student studying in the school.
Lok Bahadur Bista, a resident of Kailali Ghodaghodi Rural Municipality, who was appointed to teach science subjects in Manthali Secondary School only three months ago, absconded after the students protested in Manthali Secondary School saying that he had sexually abused the girl with wrong intentions.
When the teacher repeatedly tried to touch her private parts while explaining her homework, the incident came to an end even though the student protested. The principal of Manthali Secondary School, Tank Dahal, has said that they are looking for the teacher after the complaint that the teacher had sexually abused the female students studying in the school. He said with the representative of Jan Prahar, “The accused teacher is not in contact with the school now, we are trying to find out the truth of the incident.”
Stating that he always works according to the wishes and feelings of the students in the school, he said that if it is found that he has done something wrong against a girl student with wrong intentions, he will take immediate action. He said, “We have filed a complaint at the District Police Office Ramechhap to search for the teacher who is not in contact.”
Principal Dahal has said that the school will not protect any teacher who plays games with students under any pretext and will play a role in providing punishment to the wrongdoers according to the law.
In addition to Manthali Secondary School, teacher Bista was also teaching at CTVT. The student said that a student studying in that school was repeatedly sexually harassed. The students have demanded that the teacher should be arrested and punished for sexually abusing female students with wrong intentions.
According to the source, the accused teacher claimed that he did not sexually abuse before the school administration and claimed that he only held the hands of two students due to pain in his knee. According to the sources, the students started protesting in the school but they have reached Kathmandu.
