Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the common objective of all is to move the country forward on the path of development and prosperity as soon as possible by ensuring the rights of the people through democratic republican system of governance.
Expressing best wishes to all on the occasion of the 15th Republic Day, he called upon all political parties, intellectuals, civil society leaders and business associations, the media and the general Nepali people to work together for the development and prosperity of the nation.
Prime Minister Deuba has mentioned that the country has completed fourteen years of democratic republican rule as a result of political movements, civil struggles, sacrifices and sacrifices in different periods of history.
The Constituent Assembly had made a historic decision to establish a democratic republic in the country on June 3, 2008. In commemoration of the same day, Republic Day has been celebrated on May 30 every year.
On the occasion of the day, he has paid homage to all the known and unknown martyrs who sacrificed their invaluable bodies in the campaign to establish a democratic republican system of governance in the country.
Expressing high esteem and respect to the leaders who have been providing leadership for democracy and republican governance and to all those who are participating in this campaign, Prime Minister Deuba has wished speedy recovery to all those injured in the struggle for republic.
Prime Minister Deuba said that today we are moving the country forward through one of the best systems of governance in the world which provides equal rights, entitlements and opportunity to all citizens of the country to participate in the system without any discrimination.
He said in his congratulatory message, “The constitution has guaranteed the fundamental rights and freedoms of the common Nepali citizen and has guaranteed that Nepal’s sovereignty and state power will be vested in the Nepali people.” Today, we are on a journey to achieve lasting peace, good governance, development and prosperity through a federal democratic republican system of governance. “

He said that important tasks such as promulgation of the constitution by the Constituent Assembly, full operation of various constitutional organs and bodies envisaged in the constitution and election of all three levels of government as provided in the constitution and establishment of rule of law in the country have been completed during the decade and a half of the establishment of the republic.
Prime Minister Deuba said that the participation, ownership and ownership of all has been established in the system of governance and the country has moved ahead on the journey of economic prosperity by maintaining political stability in the country with full guarantee of civil liberties and fundamental rights.
Stating that the second local level election has been held in a fair, free, peaceful and fearless environment since the promulgation of Nepal’s constitution, he said that it has succeeded in electing new people’s representatives from the people.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Deuba thanked all the voters who actively participated in the local level elections and exercised their sovereign right to vote.
